TOWN HALL
LECTURE SERIES
Rising out of the demand for the
highest quality entertainment and education, Town Hall Lecture series
has brought North Platte and the surrounding area an extraordinary
program of outstanding professional speakers. Since the first season in
1983-1984 Town Hall has offered membership lectures that stimulate,
motivate, and sometimes challenge. Four times a year speakers
such as Ann Jillian, Senator George McGovern, William F. Buckley,
Charlton Heston, Art Linkletter, Soledad O'Brien, Ted Kennedy Jr., Ed
McMahon, John Walsh...just to name a few...have talked about subjects
ranging from politics to Olympic Gold, from finances to science, from
life as a movie star to human interest stories that inspire us to reach
for our own personal star.
Each spring Town Hall has their membership drive for the upcoming fall
and next spring program. In the past the series was sold out, but
with moves and changes in people's lives there are still a few openings
for this year's season. If you would like the pleasure of hearing
nationally know speakers sign up to be a member today!
** also, Town Hall offers a luncheon after each Lecture where there is
a question and answer session with the featured Lecturer. Lunch
is at the Quality Inn and Suites and tickets are $12 and can be
purchased the day of the lecture at the Playhouse.
