family who go to the Iowa State Fair. Pop has high hopes of
winning a
Blue ribbon with his prize hog and Mom has aspirations of winning a
prize with her pickles, while their son and daughter find both romance
and heartbreak. Musical numbers by Rodgers and Hammerstein
include "It
Might As Well Be Spring" and "It's a Grand Night for Singing".
