Christmas Story
November 16, 17, 18, 24, 25, 2007 ![]() Cast: "A Christmas Story," which is usually shown on television during the Christmas season, is Philip Grecian's adaptation of Jean Shepherd's memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s. The play follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher and even Santa Claus himself, at Goldblatt's Department Store, but everyone tells him "You'll shoot your eye out." Jared Harrison has the role of Ralphie. John Hales, who plays Ralphie as a grown man, serves as a narrator for the show. Joel Bennett is Ralphie's father, Mr. Parker, and A. J. Swanson is Mrs. Parker. James Hirsch is Ralphie's little brother, Randy. Bill Drost is a delivery man and Charley Halligan is a delivery boy. Brian Hirsch is a Christmas tree seller, and Nick Wilson is "Red Ryder." Dylan Grachek has the part of Schwartz, and Brandon Grachek is Flick. Ellie Granger is Helen, and Emma Young is Esther Jane. Connie Huebner is playing Miss Shields, Ralphie's teacher.
